ABOUT ME

My work is an amalgamation of my interests and experiences through life and dreams. I choose to chase both the practical and chaotic, the physical and metaphysical. My scenic designs are heavily influenced by my imagination in response to the text, wherever that may come from. I strive to make my work feel alive. A dynamic, breathing, exploratory world... I want the audiences that witness my shows to feel deeply sated, in both story and sight. 

I respond to the text in a practical way at first, then dive deeper into visual metaphor until I arrive at a strong place to reflect and collaborate. Using feedback from others, I redefine my perceptions of the work to answer questions, improve my clarity of design, and explore new ideas. I am evaluating and estimating my costs and labor and deciding how best to approach the design technically. Every step of the process fulfills my purpose.

My work is spontaneous, open, and expansive. I am always changing and evolving as an artist, and know that if you work with me, hopefully you will too.
